The Frederick Van Patten chapter has many talents that the members use to honor God, Home, and Country. One of those talents is being able to sit patiently for hours piecing scraps of fabric together to make it into something of use. Member Susan Ashcraft quilted two Quilts of Valor, which were then gifted to two local veterans in appreciation of their service.

The Frederick Van Patten chapter was honored to host the Arkansas State Regent in their January meetings. State Regent Gale Markley regaled the chapter with her time at Continental Congress during the summer, and the goals of her administration.

A portion of the Frederick Van Patten chapter paid their thanks to Chapter Vice-Regent Gale Long in her assistance of creating and guiding members through the leadership courses offered through the DAR. The number of graduates has doubled under Long’s leadership.
