The Journey Begins

Welcome!

We are the Frederick Van Patten Chapter of the Arkansas State Daughters of the American Revolution.
We were founded in 2012 and cover a portion of White County, including members from Searcy. Heber Springs, Beebe, Augusta, Little Rock, and more!

We would love to meet with any women who are interested in the DAR and invite them to come visit with us on the second Saturday of each month at 10:00 AM (excluding June-August). Please click the “contact” link for more information. We look to meeting you!

Membership in NSDAR

Any woman is eligible for membership in the NSDAR who is not less than eighteen years of age and can prove lineal, blood line descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence. Documentation must be provided to prove direct descent from a patriot. Sources may include birth, baptismal, marriage, death records, etc.

Admission to membership in the NSDAR is either by invitation through a chapter in your state organization (or Unit Overseas) or as a Member-At-Large. No Chapter may discriminate against an applicant on the basis of race or creed.

Membership in the NSDAR is a unique opportunity to establish one’s lineage and heritage as a descendant of a patriot of the American Revolution. Applicants interested in participating in the historical, educational and patriotic activities of the NSDAR are welcome.

The DAR provides service in many areas and our members join with others in trying to make America a better place to live. It offers the opportunity to work with youth of this country through the educational programs. The DAR encourages citizens to become active in the community, to assist in historic preservation, and to help preserve documents and records of the past. It offers an opportunity to meet people with similar interest, develop friendships and to join others who cherish the priceless heritage enjoyed by all while promoting the ideals of patriotism and love of country.
